Unknown fruit tree (forum)

Is anyone able to identify this fruit tree? The flowers seem to open at night and fall off the following day. The photos show the fallen flowers and early fruit. I have googled and I have been unable to find a flower with the same colouration.

That is Planchonia careya, an Australian native known as the cocky apple. I've never tried it, but it is edible and apparently tastes like quince.

Jerry C-W always tries to help identify these unusual plants.
He thinks it might be https://www.google.com.au/search?q=Barringtonia+racemosa&oq=Barringtonia+racemosa&aqs=chrome..69i57j0l5.8211j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8
Let me know what you think?
If you're on FB Jerry is asking where the tree is grown.
