vanila plantifolia in Sydney (forum)

Hi I bought a vanilla plantifolia last spring and I was told it will never grow in sydney but as stubben as I am I grew it anyway and now that I have proven it will grow in sydney which is a colder climate will it ever flower and will I ever get fruit off of it,Do i need to fertilise it and what fertiliser do I use?
