Just seen an amazing variegated fig on farcebook ;-) "most likely Ficus carica 'Panache' i thought there was another Ficus carica cultivar/hybrid with this type of variegation on the fruit too but im not sure" English mate said .\
Another cv.Jolly Tiger was mentioned .
Is it possible that there is a variegated fig in Australia ?

Have been trying to get a panache or tiger fig for a couple of weeks now, but no cigar.
One guy on ebay selling them who wouldn't be coaxed into shipping internationally.
The panache figs are sold in australia, but the place which stocks them was out last I checked, and that wasn't very long ago. I'll try and find the details.

I'll have to dig around again Ivy, I deleted my bookmarks recently as a result of a browser redirect adware.

Yeah, panachee has variegated foliage, but standard fruit. I'm after them too. There was a bit of discussion in the other fig thread a few days ago...

Thats good news Peter. Yep it was a slip of the brain. A grower in Florida has them in pots and they seem to do well. I saw the pics a few months back and have been very interested since...
