Picked a few of these(on the right), up at work thinking that they were limes. Shape was a bit weird, but the look was generally right. Smooth, thin skin, super juicy looking.
Cut open the flesh is more orange than green, with a nice grapefruit flavour, a few seeds.
Any idea what they could be? I think they are locally grown(Lockyer Valley) as they weren’t packaged in a particular way, just in an old box.

I'm guessing it might be an Australian Lime, usually a mildly sour lemon mandarin type flavour, mostly they are seedless, but some have seeds.
Kassia Lime is also possible.
Otherwise it could be unique, consider growing the seed ??

Hi Anthony
I think the unusual lime that you found is a seed grown cv. We all know that most seed grown fruit trees doesn't grow true to type . There is a great variability among pip raised plants. It might have been pollinated by a non-lime cv nearby and the seeds harvested and planted hence the resulting fruit looks different from your conventional lime. That's my humble opinion though, I might be incorrect.
Happy gardening :-)

I’ve discovered the name of the gentleman who dropped these particular variety into work, so when I see him next I will ask about it and hopefully find out what it is.
A lot of people have suggested Lemonade, but from what I’ve seen it’s not likely.
Will let you know when I know.
Thanks.

Hi Anthony
I also took a good hard look at a lemonade fruit but i wasn't fully convinced that it is a lemonade. The shape, color, texture and rind is a bit different. I have uploaded a lemonade fruit image for comparison purposes.
Happy gardening :-)

So, I’ve decided to try and grow a few of these seeds to see what happens. I haven’t run into the man who grew these particular fruit, but I’ll start growing them anyway.
