Hi Colette,
I'm near Mackay and have avocados, bananas and mangoes.
Some dwarf avocados are Wurtz & Rincon. Semi-dwarf ones are Lamb Hass, Pinkerton & Gwen.

Colette I reckon citrus on flying dragon dwarfing rootstock would be good especially emperor or hickson mandarins, tahitian lime and valencia orange.Trimmed self fertile custard apple like tropic sun, cherry guava, paw paws, trimmed shepard avo, passionfruit, sapodilla and a dwarf mango like nam dok mai would all be small and productive.
