Hi Andrea, this is the public forum, not Daley's email. But your tree looks to be a native gardenia. Fruit are mainly ornamental. It acquired the name of 'Yellow Mangosteen' or 'Native Mangosteen' at some stage, which is among the worst names in fruit history, as that name belongs to another fruit and a completely different family.
