we just bought a house & I was so excited to see that we had a mango tree which turned out to not be a mango tree lol
I cant work out what it is, it had a lot of fruit on it until a storm blew the big fruit away. We are planning on getting rid of it because the bats love it & since its not mango it doesnt seem worth the bats.
It has 2 seeds as pictured
Any ideas on what fruit tree I have?

Oh thanks jujbe! How & when do you eat it? Do I eat it green & hard or pick it & wait for it to ripen soft? I have never eaten this fruit before!

Hi Beanyy,
Here is the information
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_sapote
http://www.crfg.org/pubs/ff/whitesapote.html
I would pick the fruits at mature stage (skin likely turn yellow) and let them ripe at room temperature, when a bit soft to touch then they are ready to eat, discard the seeds.
