Are you wondering how early you can cut a bunch of bananas off? I'm no banana farmer or anything but I usually wait until the ones on the very bottom have filled out and don't look as if they will get any fuller. Sometimes the whole bunch is still a pale green when this happens. Doing it this way a bunch has never not ripened for me

pick them a week before you need them ... even if still a bit square , they will usually ripen , especially if a ripe fruit is placed in a bag or container the unripe fruit is stored in . I often use an old esky , fruits ripen well inside and safe from bandicoots .
