Hi All Is anyone interesting in swapping some wood, I can also give trees for wood I have cherimoya, white sapote or asimina seedlings as well as isa kiwiberry with roots.
I am after: White sapote other than Chris, Ortago and Vernon. Cherimoya cultivars other than: Forbidden Fruits, Sophia and Fino. Kiwi berry male and female cultivars other than Kens Red and Issa. Persimmon cultivars other than Jiro, Fuyu, Hiaycumo, Nightingale, and Hyachia, in patrticular I am after Izu. Kiwis other than Haywood, Bruno, Waynes and Sweetie male and female. I am also after loquote other than Bessell brown. Asimina cultivars.
Scion wood on offer is from those varieties listed above besides kens red and I have access to a vast range of heritage apples and plums as well as other stuff. I can also graft a seedling FF cherimoya or white sapote for swap with someone but this will take time and may not work. Thanks All Ally

I have a Lemon Gold White Sapote and would not mind grafting a different variety onto it. Its quite cold now here in Melb and the graft might not take for me.

Thanks David
I have both those varieties, I am looking for more pollination variant non astringents ie. non astringent when pollinated. Hyakume is supposed to be but my seedy ones were still astringent. Do you know if your Dia Dia Maru has brown (chocolate) flesh and is it non astringent when pollinated.
I now have, astringent: Daley's Nightingale, Flemmings Nightingale/Hyachiya, Di Di Maru, Hyakume and seedlings from ancient tree in Korean Royal Gardens, and unknown graft.
Pollination variant astringent: Gailey?
Non Astringent: Suruga, Fuyu, Izu, Jiro, I. K. Jiro,

Hi Ally,
My Persimmon trees are grafted about 20 years old bought from Flemings. Both have orange-red color when ripe and self pollinated. Will let you know if friend of mine has the variety you ask for.

I have seedlings of an interesting American persimmon hybrid, Diospyros virginiana x Patapsco. Now about twelve feet tall, will be anticipating them flowering one year soon - this was bred specifically for conditions in Maryland but seems to be thriving here.

Thanks David much appreciated. Every year I grow and graft some trees as a fundraiser for Eden Community garden if anyone is after particular varieties of persimmon let me know no promises on them grafting successfully or surviving the volunteer based watering program though.

Hi Ally,
That sounds a lot of fun and interesting work. Please send me a list of grafted trees that you can provide as I have few friends after tropical fruit trees which are not available from Melbourne nurseries. David

White sapote Vista. A heavy crop this year, still a little firm but they will soften over the next few days. This one I had shipped from Perry's in Adelaide here to the subtropics.

I agree Phil - I have same vista(Perrys) that i grafted a couple years ago to save a friends dying vista (it lived as drainage was blocked) - mine has set fruit and is more likely to be same as Glowinskis vista than other vista getting around - some Pykes grow differently too depending on where you get plant from and maybe if scion was vertical or horizontal could also make a difference?
