Yellow ambarella leave (forum)

Hi everyone

I've just bought an ambarella fruit tree from Deleys fruit. The first day I got it the leaves look yellow but on the next day most of the leaves become yellow. I soak the pot in the water (as in the instructions) in the afternoon on the day I got it. I left the tree outside yesterday, it only got the sun half day in the morning. It also got the black spot on the top the day I got it.
I was wondering if you someone can look at the pictures and tell me how to rescue the tree. I'm living Derrimut, VIC.
Thank you very much.

How long ago did you buy it? The tree looks too big for the pot, either the roots have rotted or it's lacking fertilizer. I'd probably cut the damage out and propagate the top of the plant so you get two plants.

JohnMc1: Thank you for help. I only got the tree for 2 days. I got it delivered on Thursday after noon and the Friday afternoon after I got home from work, I saw the leaves like that.
I left it outside overnight but the min temperature that night was about 23 degrees so it was not very cold. It was a bit warm on Friday and watered it on the morning though.

I've had some plants delivered only to find them lose all their leaves over the following weeks. It's a way of acclimatising themselves to their new climate. I can't help with the stem damage. It appears to be a large plant for that size pot. I'd be considering repotting it up a size larger. It could be drying out too quick.
