Yellow sapote has lost all its leaves & white sapote's leaves dry and brittle (forum)

Just wondering if anyone has advice/experience re. growing the white sapote and yellow sapote. I have one of each plus a black sapote. The black sapote is doing very well; looks healthy, plenty of new leaf growth etc.
However, the yellow sapote's leaves have all fallen off and the white sapote is looking a bit sick too. I treat them all the same so am not sure what is going wrong. Do I need to fertilise them or is the cause of the falling leaves likely to be something more serious? Any advice would be much appreciated.

For Catherine,
I have the Yellow Sapote_(Canistel)see photo which has dropped all leaves during winter and is now developing new foliage in Spring. I also have a White or Green sapote which is giving fruit for the first time i think about five years old now.
