Dragon Fruit - Pearl

Has grown to over a metre in height in pot over 6 months. You will find it will only get kick started once weather warms. Have a trellis in place before so you can allow it to climb and clip off side shoots and propagate to grow more stems for trellis.

Dragon Fruit - Pearl

Im growing a pearl pitaya in Melbourne, have it sitting on a post under dappled light in summer. Gets a little cold burn on new growth in winter. I look after it with seaweed solution and Charlie carp. Great tropical fruit for Melbourne.

It has only flowered twice so far but despite hand pollination, there was no fruit set. UPDATE: Flowers regularly and sets fruit without hand pollination. Fruit is divine! Much sweeter than the white-fleshed pitaya.
