A large evergreen, fast growing tree with a dense rounded crown of attractive dark green foliage. Large open sprays of yellow flowers appear en masse in summer, followed by long dark brown hairy seed pods. Cut as a timber tree its yellow wood is used for cabinet making and indoor fittings. Trees grown in the open may retain branches to ground level. An excellent shade or specimen tree for large gardens, parks and acreage planting.
