Tree Waratah

Tree waratahs are the pride of my garden. They should be grown in full sun with good mulch for weed suppression. Do not use weed killer around them. They should start flowering at around 7 years old.

Tree Waratah

My theory for good blossoming, based on the two cutting grown specimens I have (6 metres ) is that they need winter sun to flower well. One might expect summer sun, but both of mine held off until winter shade was removed. Bingo. very satisfying to grow.
