My most loved mango. I love the size of it lol. You can get big sweet mangos. It's fruiting this year so I'm so excited to see it growing and ripe

Mango - R2E2
Doing well, loves the hot summer sun in my area. There are mangos growing in my area so I am pretty sure it will survive here, however I will frost cloth it this winter and next winter because it's a grafted tree to ensure it will be alive for me.
Mango - R2E2 (Seedling)
I was unsure of when the dwarf variety would be available so I bought the seedling version. So far, besides the possible fungi, it is still ok so far
Mango - R2E2 (Grafted)
Says fruits in 4-5 years but ours started flowering the first spring!Removed fruit after it set and all flowers dried to let the tree grow first.

Not very vigorous here. The fruit tastes way better than in the shops though. Thinking of top-working our 3 because they are underperforming, compared to the Mahachanok, for eg.(this is the very first fruit we got - so it's really small)

Mangoes are one of my favourite fruit, but will probably need a lot of luck to successfully grow one this far south.UPDATE: it has flowers! Will pick the panicles off but just stoked it has survived (let alone has flowers), particularly after such a co...

I grew this from a mango that I bought from the local fruit market. I had it growing in a pot for 2 years and put it into the ground when we moved home 2 years ago. It bore a single mango whilst in the pot and then nothing the next year. This year it...
ENGADINE, NSW
Yummy fruit. Attractive tree. Prone to fungal and scale problems. Furit yields increase each year. Do not water whilst in flower. Wait until fruit set.

Update September 2014: masses of flowers this year after a one-third prune in autumn. The scent is awful - think stale, soapy water or a bit like Photinia flowers. Still, small fruit are already forming and I hold high hopes for a fabulous crop this ye...

This is a new addition, but I didn't notice until I got home, that it had 2 tags on it, one with R2E2 Grafted, and the other saying it was a Bowen.
