pomegranate - dwarf 5/10

Paulaf1's Edible Fruits
Update: 5381 days 3hrs

Comments: -

This is a lovely plant, and so easy to look after.  I had about 10 fruit off it last year but they were very sour.  I have since been told the dwarf varieties are more for looks than for the fruit, so wished I had known that before I paid nearly $50 at Bunnings.  I had it in a pot, but will find a place in the garden amongst other ornamentals for it.

Pomegranate - Yellow (Seedling) 6/10

**KG**'s Edible Fruits
Update: 3756 days 23hrs

Comments: - Purchased this heirloom as a seedling from Diggers a couple of years ago. Doesn't appear to love either the spot, soil or climate (my Kazake pomegranate is right next to it, and is thriving??). Am not expecting any fruit yet, as only second year. Lost all leaves in Brisbane Winter but has come back nicely through sping and summer. starting to prune now. Sorry - difficult to see in the pic.

Me and my daughter love eating Pomegranate - such a refreshing and tasty flavour, and like eaing little jewels. Love eating by itself, or sprinkled over salads. If I get enough fruit eventually, will attempt to make syrup. Is a variety from a Soviet state.

Pomegranate - Rosavaya (Cutting)

Rob22's Edible Fruits
Update: 3474 days 4hrs

Comments: -  I am attempting espalier with one of the pomegranates along my side fence as a space saving technique  due to limited room in my yard for full sized trees. The other is in the front yard. Approximately 2inches of new growth over the last week or so. Seems to be enjoying its new home despite not having full sun. Watering daily to get established after which hopefully minimal to no watering required.

Arrived with a flower/fruit already developing. I removed it, given the size of the plant, and am happy to wait for the tree to grow a little before letting it fruit. I love the shape of the foliage, and am hoping for an attractive back yard tree.

This grew very quickly. While it fruited almost constantly, no fruit grew bigger than a golf ball. And the insects loved them. I probably could have put in more effort, to be honest. It was a nice looking tree, though, with its red flowers.

Another of my favourite fruits. Love the juicy seeds, dispite the messiness. At first my plant dropped all its flowers due to lack of water. I have planted it a bigger pot and thankfully there are new blossums on the way. I then bought 2 more plants.

Have trained this to grow on a trellis - keeps the areas between trees easier for mowing - main branches growing north and south
