This has been grafted to a tree as a "double graft" with a White Satin nectarine. Both species do not require a cross-pollinating partner, so this was simply a space-saving way to cram more food types into the yard.

I am so happy with it!

It flowered and "fruited" already technically, but dropped all its fruit as it really is far too young and small to be bearing fruit.

However it did everything perfectly, so maybe this year or next year we will start to see the pay off and its "practice run" kept the local bees happy.

Still in a large grow pot while we work out where to install it!

Plant arrived in Feb 2020 in great condition with soil still damp. Will plant this into a pot after 1-2 weeks outside and provide updates. 

May 2020 - Was mildly sunburnt just after purchase and potting. Although it arrived full and bushy the tree has gradually dropped most of its leaves - perhaps due to the sunburn or winter approaching (if Apr-May isn't too early for this). It is still holding onto a few leaves and beginning to produce new ones - just looking a little straggly currently (photo uploaded). 

September 2021 - Has grown (branched) but remains a compact ~30cm height. Flowered for the first time this August - nil fruit set. Suffering from some peach leaf curl - however not on a high percentage of leaves. Currently in 20L pot.

Comments: - Espaliered, not sure if that or vase shape will work best yet as planted 6 months ago. Awarded with two fruit for taste test in first year - sweeter than apricot but not as strong as some peaches and doesn't go sour on multiple chews. The stone was small compared to the fruit - a winner in my eyes. Must bag fruit to protect from fruit fruit fly - I knew this before I purchased the plant. Grows quickly.

Comments: - I love peaches and so do fruit flies , bats birds and possums . I am using Wild May male fruit fly lure and it has cut the male flies dramatically (no males for the females to mate and then sting fruit)(you have to use it all year for a few years at least to cut the population down) . I notice not as many stings as i had 5 years ago before using it .  In conjunction with this i will buy some fruit fly netting now that i have a peach tree .

   Planted in a raised bed with full sun in late Jan 2017 (Gold Coast). Broke dormancy in late August, and produced eight attractive pink flowers. I allowed these to form small pea-sized fruit, then removed so the tree could put all its energy into establishing a strong root structure. The raised bed has a thick layer of cane mulch (about 150mm).

   I fertilize with varying ratios and amounts of Dynamic LIfter or Rooster Booster, sulphate of potash and blood and bone at the beginning of spring, summer and autumn. I also give fortnightly foliar sprays of a diluted solution of Seasol, Powerfeed for flowers and fruit, soluble sulphate of potash, and Epsom salts during the non-dormant months.

   I use a moisture meter, and water the tree as necessary.

   In the past year (to Jan 2018) the tree has grown really well (about 850mm tall), and this year I'll let it develop a few fruit for us to taste. I'll give it a bit of a haircut during winter when dormant.

This variety will extend the harvest time of my stone fruit. It is already in flower (March 2015) which surprises me as it hasn't dropped its leaves so I may pull the flowers off if sets fruit.

June 2016. This seems to be a slow growing variety. It flowered last season but failed to set fruit

Dec 2017 A small crop of about 20-30 lovely freestone peaches quite large and juicy and great eating

Flowered and held fruit for a short time just after planting. (Purchased as a 165cm graft) The peach is now near 1 meter tall and as seen by the picture very health and happy in the northern tropics. Will give it its first prune in the new year.

Its now March 2017 the peach is some 2 and a half meters high with luscious growth all over, looking forward to a bumper harvest. Tree must really love where its planted as the growth rate has been outstanding and healthy.

Now this little plant stays small and definitely needs a great sunny position. Early sun preferably. I did get fruit however I got fruit fly as well. Next season I need to be far more vigilant.
