Dense shade tree from rainforests with striking flower colour and form.
Features: Large, leathery leaves are dark, glossy green. Clusters of watermelon-pink gum-like flowers form masses along old, leafless branches.
Conditions: Suitable for fertile, moisture retaining soils which are well drained in full to partial sun. Easier to establish in a protected site.
For Best Results: Shelter young plants from full sun and strong winds. Mulch soil well using well rotted organic matter which will fertilise plants.
