FEATURES: Small, thorny bushes growing to around 1 m tall and wide. Branches from low down. Fruit ripen in Dec. - Jan. Use heavy gloves to pick ripe fruit from below. Crosspollination is not required.
CONDITIONS: Suited to fertile free draining soils in a sunny site preferably with afternoon shade. Tolerant of heavy soils. Choose a site that gives protection from hot winds
FOR BEST RESULTS: Best in cool climates with mild Summers. Enrich soil with compost and well rotted manure in Winter and high potassium complete fertilise( in Spring. Mulch well. Train to a single 20cm trunk and then to an open vase shape. Soak deeply over hot spells
