Ornamental Australian, deciduous shrub or small tree.
Features: An attractive Australian native with a shapely trunk and large, handsome, lobed leaves. Clusters of pink to red start-shaped flowers and borne during late Spring, followed by attractive boat-shaped, leathery fruit.
Conditions: Prefers a moist, well-drained soil in full sun to part shade. Tolerates dry and coastal conditions.
For Best Results: Protect young plants in frost prone areas. Drought tolerant once established but best to mulch at base of plants to retain soil moisture.
