Also called 'Paklan' or 'Baklan', this tree is highly prized by man Asian cultures because of its highly perfumed flowers. It is a very popular garden specimen in Asia, Hawaii and South America.
Fast growing with an upright habit, Michelia longifolia makes and excellent specimen tree with the lime green foliage providing colour contrast in the garden and fragrant white flowers from mid-Spring through to Autumn.
Tolerates light frosts and does best if mulched.
