Foliage: Light green, oval to heart-shaped leaves. Flowers: Clusters of lemon scented, creamywhit.e, bell-shaped flowers. Spring.
Fruit: Clusters of large, leathery, boat-shaped pods turning bright orange-red when ripe to expose large, satiny, blue-black, edible seeds. Seeds can be eaten raw or roasted and taste like peanuts. Summer.
Cultivation: Worth growing only in warm, frostfree climates, Must have free draining soil.
Uses: A great shade or specimen tree for tropical and sub-tropical climates.
