Description:
The Pineapple Guava produces delicious fruit, the taste of which resembles a mixture of strawberry and pineapple. The evergreen shrub produces a mass of decorative flowers with conspicuous stamens.
Grow as a screening plant or hedge. Or grow for its attractive flowers. The fruit can be used in jams and jellies.
Prefers moist, well drained soil sunny to partly shaded position.
Care:
Prune after flowering to maintain compact growth. Moderate water requirement once established.
Planting Guide:
Cultivate soil before planting. Dig a hole twice the width of the container. Remove plant from container and place in the hold so the soil level of the plant is the same as the surrounding ground. Fill hold firmly and water in a well even if the soil is moist.
