Syzygium jambos
An attractive, tropical, evergreen tree to approximately 8m, with juicy, rose scented fruit.
FEATURES: A dense, rounded crown of slender, wide spreading branches with dark green glossy leaves and pink new growth. Fluffy, greenish-white flowers in rounded clusters are followed by creamy-pink to yellow, fragrant fruit with a distinctive rose-water flavour.
CONDITIONS: Tolerates a wide range of soils and conditions, including windy and sheltered coastal, but does best in a warm position with moist, fertile, well-drained soils in full sun or part shade.
FOR BEST RESULTS: Water deeply in extended dry spells.
