Native to Brazil, the fresh or dried leaves of this plant can be used as a sugar substitute to sweeten cakes and desserts. Best grown in a sunny to partly shaded position protected from frost. Thrives in moist, well drained soil enriched with humus. Ideal for pots, herb and kitchen gardens. Keep moist in dry weather.
