Related to ginger the thick, rhizome of tumeric looks very similar. Finely grated it adds many health benefits, a brilliant yellow colour and earthy flavour to foods such as Indian curries, rice and vegetarian dishes. Fresh Tumeric is lightly aromatic and slightly peppery.
