A handsome, deciduous shade tree.
Features: Straight erect stem branches form a broad topped tree with fern-like foliage which turns to Autumn tonings before falling. Perfumed pinkish-lilac flowers droop in clusters all over the tree and are followed in Autumn by yellow-orange berries that remain all Winter.
Conditions: Melia grow in most soils, but do enjoy a moist to dry, well drained location in full sun. It is capable of withstanding considerable wind exposure. Is drought, frost and salt resistant.
For Best Results: Protect from frosts when young.
