Exclusion Net - 6m x 6m

$54.00 ($54.00-$59.00 choose a size)

This strong net is ideal for covering most fruit trees and vegetable gardens. It is also called Bee netting, as it is used to exclude Bees from pollinating fruit trees that need to be kept seedless. It is UV stabilised and it will last years if stored after each seasons fruit protection. It is a 50gsm weave. This net can easily be cut into smaller nets if desired. Width is 6m and can also cut to a specified length in multiples of 6m only: eg 6x12m, or 6x18m up to a maximum of 6x30m. We highly recommended this for the exclusion of insects, birds and especially Fruit Fly. Fruit Fly females are large being 8mm long and sting fruit to lay their eggs only a few weeks before ripening. They shouldn't be confused with the smaller 'vinegar fly' which only attacks overripe and fallen fruit and are very hard to exclude even with 2mm netting.

Please Note: Colour will vary due to availability, as this does not alter the function of the bag. Commercial farmers use the different colours to signify when a patch was bagged and should be ready for harvest.

Irrigation T Piece Connector 12mm to 12mm and 2 by 5mm

$1.50

Often you will plant 2 fruit trees close together. When running irrigation Tubing you want to make sure that you run a small distance of the thin 5mm tube and rely on your 12mm flex cable to keep up the pressure. This connector allows you to easily connect 2 sprinkler heads and water 2 plants when they are close together with the shortest distance of 5mm tubing. The other option is to use the 5mm T Piece however this often results in a daisy chain and icreases the length of 5mm Flex tube being run meaning you have uneven pressure in your dripper emitter heads.

After potting tree into Coir Potting media, apply at rate of 6gms per ltr of potting media. Best just scratched into top of pot.Plantacote pluss is a coated controlled release fertiliser which, in addition to nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium, contains magnesium and trace elements in every granule. This ensures an even supply of major nutrients and trace elements over the desired release time. The high iron content of Plantacote pluss is crucial to good performance. Iron is essential for the formation of chlorophyll and is therefore vital for good foliage colour and healthy growth. To ensure high availability, 50% of the iron in Plantacote pluss is chelated as Fe-EDTA. The nutrients of Plantacote pluss a re released by a natural membrane process which is controlled by soil temperature. Declared release times refer to an average soil temperature of 210C. Higher temperatures accelerate the nutrient release, lower temperatures slow it down. The release time is unaffected by substrata type, pH, micro organisms or level of irrigation. Plantacote pluss starts to release after 2 - 3 weeks. Due to this specific mechanism the product is very safe to crops; there is no risk of salt stress, even after storage of premixed growing media for up to 2 - 3 weeks.
