Ornamental perennial. with attractive red fleshed fruit eaten fresh or cooked if raw.
FEATURES: Tall, fast growing perennial with large lobed leaves. Well suited to warm climates producing many orange-red fleshed fruit with black seeds. Trees are bisexual or female. Fruit produced without cross pollination.
CONDITIONS: Suited to fertile moist loamy soils that are free draining in a warm sunny site. 
FOR BEST RESULTS: Enrich soil with rich compost. Use a thick mulch layer to reduce weeds and retain soil moisture, Keep mulch clear of stems. Use a complete fertiliser regularly in Spring and Summer. Best in sub/tropical climates.
